  • Biodegradable Plates

  • BioPak's sugarcane biodegradable plates or BioPlates are tree-free – made from reclaimed and rapidly renewable sugarcane pulp – and certified home compostable. Available in a variety of sizes with the option of single or three compartments, these plates can handle a wide variety of hot and cold foods.

  • BioPak use sugarcane pulp (bagasse) to produce a range of food service containers, plates and bowls. Sugarcane pulp is an abundant and rapidly renewable resource that will biodegrade in a compost environment, making it an ideal material for foodservice disposables. It is also a byproduct of the sugar refining industry, transforming an output that is currently considered waste into a valuable input for another process, providing significant environmental benefits.

  • Using sugarcane pulp as a raw material, preserves forests. While 5 tonnes of wood are needed to produce 1 tonne of pulp for paper, only 1.5 tonnes of sugarcane pulp are needed to produce the same amount. A great choice for businesses trying to save money on their packaging costs. Biodegradable plates provide a simple yet effective solution for serving in-house meals at food markets or from food trucks.

  • The sugarcane plates are available in six different sizes with compartment plate options as well.  Round/circular plates in 6, 7, 9 and 10 inch options with 3-compartment alternatives in the 9 and 10 inch plates.  Small and large oval plates are also available to better suit larger servings.
