Our Composting Service

Our Composting Service

12th Aug 2020

The issue of plastic has entered the public sphere and more people than ever are aware of their impact. Just as we are expected to recycle more at home, so too do customers expect businesses to take a larger amount of responsibility for the waste that they produce, directly or indirectly.

What is Composting?

By composting, you can turn waste into food and contribute to the circular economy. Composting is the process of converting organic waste into nutrient-rich compost via the activity of microorganisms. Our products are all industrially compostable (meaning they can be composted in a commercial compost facility where temperature, oxygen, and other factors are regulated), and some are even home compostable as well (meaning they will break down in the less-regulated compost bin in the backyard). Compostable foodservice packaging can be disposed of in an organics bin along with food waste and any plant-based coffee cups or cutlery – no need to sort it further!

The BioPak Compost Service

You can manage your waste responsibly when you switch to compostable foodservice packaging and sign up to the BioPak Compost Service. Keep your business's takeaway coffee cups and food containers out of landfill and contribute to a circular economy by signing up for the BioPak Compost Service. Our compost service is available up seven cities and locations are being added all the time. If we are not in your location yet, leave your details and we will let you know when we are. Find out more about the circular economy BioPak is creating on their website.
