Our bioplastic lids are made from plants, not oil. Certified industrially compostable. Matching bioplastic lid for the BioCane range of 750ml & 1000ml sugarcane takeaway containers. Note this: lid is for cold use only.
- These lids are made from Ingeo™ – a plant-based PLA bioplastic.
- They are certified industrially compostable (AS4736) and designed for the circular economy.
- The production of bioplastic results in 75% lower greenhouse gas emissions compared to conventional plastic derived from fossil resources.
- Bioplastics must be stored out of the direct sun and below 35°C. If stored correctly, they have a 12-month shelf life.
- Bioplastic does not have suitable oxygen barrier properties to store food for more than a few days
